Cookie Policy

Last updated June 14, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on instableep.com (our marketing site) and app.instableep.com (the Instableep application), and how you can control them. It describes only what actually runs on these sites — nothing more.

Instableep is operated by R. D. Bitenieks, a natural person based in Riga, Latvia, operating under the brand "Instableep" ("we", "us", "our"). For more detail on how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit a website. First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by another provider (for example, an advertising or measurement service). Some tracking technologies, such as cookieless analytics, count visits without storing any cookie at all. We use a small number of these technologies, listed below.

Cookies and trackers we use

Name Provider Purpose Type Expiry
cc_cookie Instableep (first-party, .instableep.com) Stores your cookie consent choice so the banner is not shown again on every visit. Necessary 365 days
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gac_* Google Ads (AW-18002206209) — privacy policy Advertising and conversion measurement. These load only after you accept advertising cookies (via "Accept all" or the Advertising toggle); they are not set if you reject. Third-party Up to 90 days
Plausible Analytics Plausible — privacy policy Privacy-friendly, aggregate usage statistics (page views, referrers, country). Sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. Cookieless

Server-side advertising measurement

Separately from cookies, we run server-side advertising measurement: when you sign up or make a purchase and have accepted advertising cookies, a hashed (irreversible) version of your email and the event are sent to Meta and Google. This happens on our servers, not in your browser, and does not involve any cookie on your device. If you reject or withdraw consent, these events are not sent. It is described in our Privacy Policy.

The consent banner

Our cookie banner is opt-in: the optional advertising cookies above are blocked until you act. The banner offers Accept all and Reject all with equal prominence, plus a Manage preferences screen:

  • Accept all — turns on advertising cookies, so Google Ads loads; you can also enable them from Manage preferences.
  • Reject all — keeps the advertising cookies blocked and also clears any _gcl_* and _gac_* advertising cookies that may have been set previously.
  • Manage preferences — opens a screen with two categories: a read-only Strictly necessary section and a toggleable Advertising section you can switch on or off independently before saving.

The necessary cc_cookie (which remembers this choice) and the cookieless Plausible analytics run either way, as they do not require consent.

Your advertising choice also governs the server-side measurement described above: rejecting — or later withdrawing — consent stops the hashed sign-up and purchase events from being sent to Meta and Google.

Changing your choice

Your consent choice is stored for 365 days. You can change or withdraw it at any time using the button below (or, in the app, the Cookie settings button in your account's Privacy settings). Withdrawing also stops the server-side hashed sign-up and purchase events described in our Privacy Policy.

You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings; the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge explain how.

Updates to this policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy when the technologies we use change. We update it manually and any change is reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. There is no automatic update mechanism.
