Frequently Asked Questions

Is this profanity filter free?
Yes. Every account gets 20 minutes of transcription a month at no cost, no credit card. Free video exports carry a small watermark. A one-time $4.99 pack adds 60 minutes that never expire and removes the watermark for good.
How does an AI profanity filter for video work?
A speech model writes out the audio with a timestamp on every word. The filter matches your word list against that text and lays a bleep or silence over each match. Only the audio under those words changes.
Which swear words get bleeped?
Only the ones you choose. Load the curse words preset, click words in the transcript or type your own, slurs, names and brands included. Anything you leave off the list stays as it was said.
Is the AI bleep accurate?
Very, on one clear voice. Mumbling, crosstalk and loud music are where a word can slip, and those spots show a low confidence score in the transcript. Search for any word you expect and add it before you export.
Which video formats work?
MP4, MOV, M4V, WEBM and MKV, up to 500 MB per file on the free plan. Every file keeps its format, except free WEBM exports, which come back as MP4. Audio files work too.
Can it filter profanity in songs and music videos?
Yes. Once you pick the words, lyrics are bleeped the same way as speech. Clear vocals over the beat give the best results.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. Transcription covers 100+ languages and English variants. The curse words preset is English, so for another language click or type the words once and save them as a preset of your own.
Will the bleep stay in sync with the video?
Yes. Each bleep covers the word's own timestamps and nothing is cut, so the video keeps its length. If a bleep starts a little late, widen the margin.
Where are my files stored?
In the EU, encrypted at rest, in your library until you delete them. Deleting a file removes it and its exports at once.
What makes a good video bleeper?
Three things. It finds the words from a transcript instead of making you scrub a timeline, it shows how sure it is of every word so you can check the hits before export, and it changes only the audio, so nothing drifts out of sync. Instableep does all three in the browser.
